Fellowship of the Society FSBP


is the highest level of membership and is open only to applicants who can demonstrate expert-level skills and knowledge in their professional area of bereavement care practice. To be considered for election to Fellowship, applicants must:


• Hold a relevant higher degree/diploma or recognised advanced

level professional or vocational qualifications relevant to their field

of professional practice, and have completed a minimum of five

years post-qualification professional experience.



• Have completed a minimum of ten years verifiable professional

practice (including voluntary work) in any aspect of bereavement

or end of life care. Professional references are required, and will be

obtained to verify experience.


In addition, every candidate for Fellowship must also:


• submit a detailed Curriculum Vitae highlighting all relevant

education, training, publications, etc., including copies of relevant

supporting documentation.

• submit a detailed statement (of approximately 1500 words)

supporting the application, setting out why the candidate believes

their professional skills, knowledge and practical experience

contributes to the aims of the Society.

ANNUAL - £100







Successful candidates will receive an official Certificate of Fellowship bearing the Seal of the Society. Fellows are entitled to adopt the post-nominal letters FSBP. Fellows also receive an enamel lapel pin badge and a window badge.
