The Society offers three categories of membership: Professional Member Associate Member Corporate Member Full information for potential applicants is given below: PROFESSIONAL MEMBER - MSBP (Application Form - MSBP) To be considered for Professional Membership, applicants must either: Hold a recognised qualification or qualifications relevant to their field of professional practice, and have completed a minimum of two years post-qualification professional experience. Professional references may be obtained to verify experience. OR: Have completed a minimum of five years verifiable professional practice in any aspect of bereavement or end of life care. Professional references will be obtained to verify experience. Note: Professional experience may be either paid or voluntary. Annual Membership Subscription: £55.00 ASSOCIATE MEMBER - ASBP (Application Form - ASBP) To be considered for Associate Membership, applicants: Must not currently meet the entry requirements for Professional Membership. Must subscribe to the aims of the Society, and be involved in any aspect of bereavement or end of life care and support. Retired bereavement practitioners may apply for Associate Membership Annual Membership Subscription: £25.00 Note: Associate Members subsequently meeting the entry requirements for Professional Membership may apply to upgrade without payment of further fees in the year of upgrade. CORPORATE MEMBER (Application Form - Corporate Membership) Corporate Membership is granted by assessment to corporate bodies providing only the highest level of care, support or client service. By arrangement an SBP Assessor may visit the applicant’s premises to establish the quality of client service provided by the applicant. The Assessor will evaluate: Presentation of premises, vehicles (if appropriate) and personnel. Range and quality of services provided. Staff expertise and opportunities for continuing professional development The assessor will also conduct a short interview with the manager/director submitting the application and at least one additional member of staff. Corporate Members may display the SBP logo on all advertising.
